Must Read Monday

Must Read Monday is a new meme created by Jenna from Fans of Fiction. This is a fun way to recommend books to other bloggers by using an acrostic puzzle based on the week's theme. It helps bloggers learn more about the book. This week's theme is fantasy (any book with fantastical elements).

  1. I tend to find that books are always better than their movies. So many small details that make the books magical get left out. I'm crossing my fingers that won't happen with The Hunger Games though!

Love your poem! I haven't read this book, but I'm obsessed with mythology in YA reads. This one sounds action packed and thrilling! Your poem has me hooked.

  2. Nice acrostic! I loved The Lightening Thief. You're right, the book was much better than the movie, but I liked the movie too. I'm so looking forward to my 10 year old son reading this. He's still reading the 39 Clues books now, some of which were also written by Riordan.

  3. I'm ashamed to say I haven't read this book but my kids have and they loved it! Great job with the acrostic. :)

  4. My students agree (especially the boys) that this is one of the only full chapter books they've read and liked (we're talking 10th graders!). For the girls, it's a different story, but they all told me I have to read this!
I'm glad you chose this one as your topic. I'm obsessed with Greek mythology. I will read the book then see the movie:)
